Rodeo Scholarships, Inc. is the managing
entity for the scholarships for Kentucky High School Rodeo Association,
Inc. Rodeo Scholarships, Inc. is currently
the sole provider for all local scholarships provided at the Kentucky State Finals
Rodeo.
The main fund-raiser is an
annual rodeo produced on Memorial Day weekend at the
Earned scholarships are defined as: All
Around Cowboy, All Around Cowgirl, Reserve All Around Cowboy, Reserve All
Around Cowgirl, Rookie of the Year, Marque Moore Spirit Award, Event Winners,
etc. Earned scholarships are also
awarded at the rodeo on Memorial Day to contestants from Indiana, Kentucky,
Virginia, and West Virginia.
Memorial scholarships include: Jessica Barnes
Memorial. These are awarded by the same
process as the senior scholarships.
Senior scholarships are awarded to seniors through
an application and interview process.
Scoring for the interview is based on need, academic achievement,
community involvement and career goal(s).
No separate form is required for memorial scholarships.
