Well, half the rodeo season is over and I believe we have faired pretty well. I
want to thank the student membership for their time and attention at our
discussion in Greenville. I would like to have had some more input from
you, the reason for our association. Maybe next time. As I told the contestants,
everything we went over in the hearing is in the handouts I gave each of
them, and all the parents are invited to read what we talked about. In fact I
would hope you all will take the time to review the information.
Oh, if you all have not heard. We have a new Executive Director,
James Higginbotham.. I was talking to James the other day and we were discussing
the fact that everyone will not be a National Finals Champion. I feel this year
is the year we put some of you in the position to win a National Title and then
succeed. We have the talent. There are so many other ways to capitalize on the
rewards and benefits of our association. All you as contestants have to do is
take the time to fill out the forms and send in the information and you will be
eligible for the benefits. I want to congratulate Audrey on doing just that, and
her horse being selected as the Equine Athlete of the month. Great story about
your horse, Isis, Audrey.
Mid-Winter meeting is in a month. I wish the officers could go and see how our
association works. Most of all I ask GOD to bless Luke and Austin in this
Christmas Season, with a speedy recovery.
Have a great Christmas!
Thanks,
Rusty
